Engineered Fitment

Our A-Pillar kit for the 2017+ Ford Super Duty has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing directly on the truck to ensure a flawless fit. Everything lines up perfectly with existing mounting points, making installation a breeze?no modifications required! We know this should be standard, but you?d be surprised at the poor fitment we encountered from other well-known brands during our development process.

Branches Beware

Each bracket is crafted from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated. Simply put, your Super Duty?s side mirrors will give way long before our A-Pillar kit shows any signs of wear.

All Weather

The white-output version is perfect for everyday visibility, while the yellow-output option shines in rainy, snowy, or foggy conditions. We?ve chosen Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that produce yellow light at the source, ensuring optimal performance in tricky weather. Unlike filtering white light through a yellow lens, which doesn?t provide any real benefits, our approach guarantees you?ll see clearly when it matters most.

Reliability

With great power comes great responsibility. We?ve invested significant time and resources to ensure the reliability of our product. High power means high heat, which is why the 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer to the radiator, optimized through thorough thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking, while the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket meet IP69K standards for complete weather resistance.

Wiring and Cable Management

No messy wiring here! We?ve included multiple mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket?s stem to guide the input wiring from your LED pods down into the engine bay. From there, you can easily plug in with Morimoto?s switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable installation.

Performance

Just like the brackets, every part of the patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light is proprietary. Utilizing LucidShape technology, we?ve optimized performance around the latest, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Our optics are produced to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics have been fine-tuned using SolidWorks. The 4Banger is available in three leading beam patterns to meet all your lighting needs: Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo.

HXB Combo Beam

This beam illuminates a clear path with a medium range. The HXB Combo beam strikes the perfect balance between width and distance, making those long drives in remote areas much more comfortable. With an 8H x 4V oval hot spot and a 10-degree spread at the beam center, it?s been expertly tuned for an ideal flood beam.

HXB Spot Beam

When it comes to long-distance illumination, the HXB Spot is unmatched. Equipped with powerful Osram LEDs, this beam pattern can penetrate up to 800 meters ahead. No matter how fast you?re going, you?ll never outrun your ability to see with the 4Banger HXB Spots.

HXB Wide Beam

This beam lights up the ground right in front of your vehicle. Featuring dual axis control for width and active hot spot management, it projects peak intensity along the top of the beam pattern. The vertical gradient resembles an SAE-compliant fog light pattern, but with enhanced intensity, thanks to the Osram HX Boost LEDs. The 4Banger HXB Wide beam offers the best combination of width, intensity, and control?making it the ultimate off-road LED fog light.

NCS Combo Beam

Similar to the HXB Combo, this beam provides medium-range illumination with a perfect blend of width and distance. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot, with a 10-degree spread at the center, has been finely tuned for excellent flood lighting, making it a great companion for high-performance headlights.

NCS Spot Beam

This beam shines well into the distance. The NCS Spot features a concentrated 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam, making it ideal for long-range visibility. While it may not be as powerful as the 4Banger HXB Spot, when paired with NCS Combos, you?ll have no trouble spotting deer from afar.

NCS Wide Beam

This beam lights up the area directly in front of your vehicle, making it a fantastic addition to high-performance Morimoto headlights. It produces a wide beam that significantly improves visibility off to the sides of the road. With superior vertical gradient control, glare to oncoming traffic is minimized, and when mounted and aimed correctly, the beam pattern complies with the latest SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights.

Power Up

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods have been meticulously developed to set a new standard in their category, and the same goes for the optional wire harness. Every component has been thoughtfully designed without cutting corners. You?ll find a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch with an amber LED backlight.

Compatibility

While they pair perfectly with the 4Banger LED pods, our top-notch A-Pillar brackets also fit LED pods from various other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams meet SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. The Wide beam model complies with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps. Keep in mind that some localities require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving. To comply, we offer optional Blackout Covers that fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods, designed for easy installation and removal.
