Engineered Fitment

Morimoto's A-Pillar kit for the 03-09 Lexus GX470 has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing directly on the truck to ensure perfect compatibility. Everything aligns with existing mounting points, guaranteeing a modification-free installation. While we agree that this should be standard, you wouldn?t believe the poor fitment we experienced from other brands during our development?truly mind-blowing.

Branches Beware

Each bracket is laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated. In simple terms, the side mirrors on your GX will come off long before our A-Pillar kit shows any signs of flexing!

All Weather

The white-output version is perfect for general visibility, while the yellow-output version excels in rainy, snowy, or foggy conditions. Morimoto has chosen Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that emit yellow light from the source, making them highly effective at cutting through airborne particles without losing output. Remember, filtering white light through a yellow lens may look good, but it doesn't enhance performance in poor weather.

Reliability

With power comes responsibility. We?ve put in a lot of effort to ensure this product is reliable. High power means high heat, which is why the 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator, optimized through numerous thermal analyses. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to prevent flaking. Plus, the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket meet IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

Wiring and Cable Management

No messy wiring here! We?ve included several mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket's stem to guide the input wiring from your LED pods neatly into the engine bay. From there, you can easily connect with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable installation.

Performance

Every aspect of the patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light is proprietary. We used LucidShape to optimize performance around the latest, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Our optics are crafted to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics have been fine-tuned using SolidWorks. The 4Banger comes in three industry-leading beam patterns to meet your every need: Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo.

HXB Combo Beam

This beam lights up a clear path with medium range, combining width and distance illumination for comfortable driving in remote areas. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot, with a 10V degree spread at the center, is perfectly tuned to deliver an ideal flood beam. The 4Banger HXB Combo is a fantastic companion to any high-performance headlights.

HXB Spot Beam

Illuminate the distance like never before! The HXB Spot is equipped with the most powerful Osram LEDs, creating a beam pattern that can reach up to 800 meters ahead. No matter how fast you're going, you'll always have a clear view with the 4Banger HXB Spots.

HXB Wide Beam

This beam shines directly in front of your vehicle. The HXB optics feature dual-axis control for width and active hot spot control, projecting peak intensity right along the beam's top. The vertical gradient resembles an SAE-Compliant fog light pattern but with added intensity, thanks to the Osram HX Boost LEDs. The 4Banger HXB Wide beam is the ultimate off-road LED fog light!

NCS Combo Beam

Similar to the HXB Combo, this beam offers medium-range visibility with a perfect blend of width and distance illumination. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot with a 10V degree spread is finely tuned for an optimal flood beam, making it an excellent partner for any high-performance headlights.

NCS Spot Beam

For long-range visibility, the NCS Spot features a highly focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam. While it may not be as powerful as the 4Banger HXB Spot, when paired with NCS Combos, you'll have no trouble spotting deer in the distance.

NCS Wide Beam

This beam lights up the ground right in front of your vehicle, making it a perfect match for high-performance Morimoto headlights. It produces a wide beam that significantly improves visibility to the sides of the road. The superior vertical gradient control minimizes glare for oncoming traffic, and when mounted in the fog light position, both the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models meet the latest SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Power Up

The Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods are designed from the ground up to set a new standard in their category, and the optional wire harness follows suit. If you're after the best, you've found it. We didn't skimp on any component of the harness for cost or simplicity. It features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with a hanger, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber LED backlight.

Compatibility

While our A-Pillar brackets are a perfect match for the 4Banger LED pods, they also work with LED pods from most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Street Legality

When aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams meet SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. The Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Keep in mind that some localities require auxiliary lights to be covered during everyday driving. To comply, we offer optional Blackout Covers that fit all Morimoto 4Banger LED Pods, designed for easy friction and clip installation, removable in seconds.
