Who is NOK?

NOK is a Japanese company specializing in manufacturing oil seals and gaskets used in different industries, including the automotive sector. Its history can be traced back to 1939, when its predecessor Edogawa Seiki Co Ltd, was founded. It later changed its name to Tokyo Oil Seal Company in 1949, then merged with Nippon Yushi and became Nippon Oil Seal Industry Co. LTD IN 1951. 

The name NOK finally came to be in 1961 and is still the name they used up to this day.
