Nolathane 20mm Heavy Duty Rear Sway Bar for Dodge Dakota 1997-2000 Models
$269.87

If you’re looking to tighten up your Dodge Dakota’s handling without sacrificing ride comfort, this Nolathane 20mm rear sway bar is a solid upgrade. Sway bars are all about keeping your ride stable during those sharp turns, and this one does just that. By reducing body roll, it helps distribute lateral forces more evenly across your tires. This means better grip and improved cornering performance—perfect for those who like to push their truck a bit.

Now, let’s talk specifics. This Nolathane sway bar is designed for the Dodge Dakota models from 1997 to 2000, including the Base, R, Sport, and SLT trims. So if you’ve got one of those, you’re in luck. The 20mm thickness is a nice sweet spot; it’s beefy enough to make a noticeable difference in handling without turning your ride into a stiff board. You’ll appreciate how it enhances your cornering confidence, all while keeping the comfort you expect from a Dakota.

One of the best parts? You won’t have to worry about your tires wearing out prematurely or feeling like you’re on a rollercoaster every time you hit a bump. It’s a practical upgrade that helps with safety and handling without compromising the ride quality you love. Plus, it’s a pretty straightforward install if you’ve got some basic tools and a little mechanical know-how.

So, if you want to improve your Dakota’s handling without breaking the bank, this Nolathane rear sway bar is worth considering. It’s one of those upgrades that really pays off in the way your truck feels on the road.

ABOUT NOLATHANE
With over 40 years of experience, Nolathane remains the number one replacement and enhancement bushing and chassis component brand in Australia and New Zealand and now has a warehouse in California to meet the North American market. Nolathane suspension bushings synchronise your suspension system for optimal safety, handling and performance. They are the links between your vehicle's springs, struts, or shocks.

As the chosen brand by automobile technicians and DIY'ers (Do it Yourself), Nolathane has achieved this via innovations in both material formulations and high quality raw materials, with careful engineering and extensive testing. As a result, these items are a no compromise' option backed up by a warranty.
WHY CHOOSE NOLATHANE?

Whether you intend to rebuild your street machine, toughen your truck, or simply update your everyday suspension bushing Nolathane is the link between your vehicle and its springs, struts, and shock absorbers. Suspension bushings supply the movement and/or mounting points in your vehicle's suspension system. Original rubber suspension bushings are squeezed or chemically bound to the suspension components to which they are fitted. In the case of a metallastic (steel cased) bush, the rubber is compressed at the time of manufacture and chemically bonded to the metal core sleeve and outer steel shell. The rubber bush is generally press-fitted into the suspension component, such as a control arm, then bolted to the chassis. In this approach, the ability of suspension movement or rotation to move is constrained. The Nolathane rubber suspension bush design involves a delicate compromise, as it is enough to permit sufficient rotational movement while retaining alignment settings.
WHAT MAKES NOLATHANE BUSHING SPECIAL?

Unlike rubber, Nolathane polyurethane suspension bushings are not bonded by compression. Nolathane bushings are mechanically fitted with a little crush of the urethane substance, and the central pin is lubricated so the component freely pivots without constraint. When combined with Nolathane's ability to retain the shape of the bush, this free pivoting results in a more responsive handling reaction and significantly better suspension control. Technical advancements in suspension design have resulted in many modern automobiles having much enhanced on-road handling. Using Nolathane suspension bushings eliminates suspension weakness and hence retains steering control.

Nolathane was originally developed to replace brass bushings in hill climb vehicles. As a result, the early formulations were extremely hard, as they were intended to replace brass, not rubber. While it performed admirably in competition, it was far too harsh for everyday street use. Nolathane is available in a variety of durometers (grades of softness/hardness), with the appropriate durometer being chosen for each application. Today's Nolathane products offer more tear, abrasion, and compression resistance for any type of ride.
