If you're looking to upgrade or replace the coax for your base antenna, this 665 PCI Race Radios 35-Foot Low Loss Ringo Ranger Coax is a solid choice. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with different coax cables, and let me tell you, this one stands out.
First off, the 35-foot length is perfect for giving you some flexibility in your setup. Whether you’re mounting your antenna high on a pole or positioning it in a tricky spot, this length lets you find that sweet spot without fussing over extra cable. The low loss design means you’re going to get a clearer, stronger signal. No one wants to deal with static or weak reception, especially when you’re out in the field or on the track.
What I really appreciate about this coax is how it holds up under pressure. I’ve taken it out on some rough terrain, and it’s managed to keep its integrity without any issues. It’s built to last, which is something you want when you’re investing in gear that you rely on.
So, if you’re in the market for a reliable replacement coax that doesn’t skimp on performance, this one’s worth considering. It’s not just another piece of gear; it’s a part of your setup that can make a real difference in your communication and overall experience.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
