PCI Race Radios 3db Racing Antenna Assembly
$84.99

If you’re looking to boost your two-way radio setup, the 3db Racing Antenna is a solid choice, especially if you've got a flat roof to work with. Just make sure there’s nothing in the way—no roof racks or light bars—within 18 inches of the antenna. If that’s not possible, you might want to check out the No Ground Plane Antenna instead.

Features:

  • Frequency Range: 138-174mHz
  • Model: ASP7455

Heads Up: When you order, be sure to let us know which race channel (in MHz) you’ll be using.

Mounting Tips:

  • Getting your antenna mounted right is key to maximizing your radio's range. If you’re on a metal roof, stick it in the center and keep that area clear of any obstructions for the best performance.
  • If you’ve got a roof rack, mount the antenna at the highest point on the rack and definitely go with a no ground plane antenna.
  • No metal roof? No problem. Just find a spot in the middle of your vehicle. You can also use the intersection of two tubes as a ground plane. Attaching the antenna to a corner triangle tab with a no ground plane antenna is a good bet too.
  • A little extra caution: don’t run your radio coax and intercom helmet cables together in the same loom. You’ll get unwanted noise when transmitting. Also, steer clear of running coax or power cables near MSD or ignition gear. Those can create interference, and if your coax gets too close to the MSD, it might even shut your vehicle off while you’re trying to transmit!
  • When you’re tie wrapping the coax to the frame, be gentle. You don’t want to crush it. If your coax looks flattened, kinked, or frayed, it’s time for a replacement!

The 617 PCI Race Radios 3db Racing Antenna Assembly is built for those who know what they’re doing. It’s not just about slapping on an antenna; it’s about getting the most out of your setup. So, make sure you mount it right and enjoy clearer communication out there!

What is PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios has been the leader in off-road and racing communications since 1972. The company takes pride in its extensive field testing, competitive prices, unparalleled customer service, and simplified packages that make communications easy with unmatched support even after the sale. With more than 45 years of experience in the off-road racing industry, PCI Race Radios develops and tests all of its own products. The brand has a full-service technical repair shop at its headquarters in Long Beach, California, and provides trackside, mobile services to its desert enthusiasts at off-road races. PCI Race Radios supports the ASA, CORVA, ORBA, and the San Diego Off-Road Coalition. It also sponsors District 37, SCORE, SNORE, MDR, MORE, CORR, BITD, and provides desert racers with the Weatherman Relay Service.

PCI Race Radios is a family-owned company that is dedicated to taking the time to both “race and play.” The company tests its products on dirt bikes, motorcycles, quads, rock crawlers, race cars, Raptors, RZRs, Mavericks, and boats. It can, therefore, thoroughly understand consumers’ needs and offer hands-on recommendations from experience.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
