If you’re serious about racing, you know how crucial it is to have the right gear. The Alpinestars Atom Suit boot cut suit is built for those who demand both protection and comfort on the track. This suit features a two-layer construction that keeps you safe while also feeling good. The soft knitted liner is a game changer—trust me, you’ll appreciate it during those long races.

The outer shell is made from durable twill, paired with aramid lining that’s not just tough but also breathable. You won’t feel like you’re suffocating in it, even when the heat is on. Plus, the fully floating arm construction and pre-curved arms and legs mean you can move freely. Stretch panels in the crotch and back waist give you that snug fit without feeling restricted. It’s like the suit was tailored just for you.

Construction Details

  • The exclusive shoulder epaulette construction is a smart feature for driver extraction in case of a crash—safety first, right?
  • Thanks to the floating arm design and stretchy knit fabric, you won’t have to fight against your suit while driving.
  • Made from 100% aramidic outershell fabric, this suit is heat and flame-resistant, so you can focus on the race without worrying about safety.

Features That Matter

  • It’s certified to the SFI 3-2 A/5 Level, so you know it meets some serious safety standards.
  • The two-layer design and knitted stretchable panels ensure you’re comfortable and cool, even when the competition heats up.
  • Those aramidic stretch panels on the back, waist, and crotch? They make a world of difference in how you move.
  • An ergonomic collar with a soft stretchable insert gives you extended coverage without feeling constricted.
  • Adjustable belted waist means you can dial in the fit just right.
  • Patterned paneling on the arms, legs, and torso is designed with your driving position in mind—no awkward bunching here.
  • Ribbed, stretchable wrists and cuffs add to the overall comfort.
  • Boot cut shape? It’s stylish and practical.
  • The premium YKK double slidered metal zipper lets you customize your fit on the fly.
  • And don’t miss the ALPINESTARS PROTECTS slogan on the lining—it's a nod to their F1 racing suits.
  • Need to stash some essentials? The thigh pockets are perfect for that.
  • It’s got a regular fit design that works for most body types.
  • Weighing in at 420g/sqm, it’s light enough to keep you agile.

In short, the Alpinestars Atom Driving Suit is a solid choice for anyone looking to up their racing game. It’s got the protection, comfort, and style you need to perform at your best. Give it a try—you won’t regret it.

What is PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios has been the leader in off-road and racing communications since 1972. The company takes pride in its extensive field testing, competitive prices, unparalleled customer service, and simplified packages that make communications easy with unmatched support even after the sale. With more than 45 years of experience in the off-road racing industry, PCI Race Radios develops and tests all of its own products. The brand has a full-service technical repair shop at its headquarters in Long Beach, California, and provides trackside, mobile services to its desert enthusiasts at off-road races. PCI Race Radios supports the ASA, CORVA, ORBA, and the San Diego Off-Road Coalition. It also sponsors District 37, SCORE, SNORE, MDR, MORE, CORR, BITD, and provides desert racers with the Weatherman Relay Service.

PCI Race Radios is a family-owned company that is dedicated to taking the time to both “race and play.” The company tests its products on dirt bikes, motorcycles, quads, rock crawlers, race cars, Raptors, RZRs, Mavericks, and boats. It can, therefore, thoroughly understand consumers’ needs and offer hands-on recommendations from experience.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
