If you're into UTV riding like I am, you know how important it is to have the right gear. The HJC i10 helmet has quickly become one of my go-to choices. It’s super comfy and light, making those long rides feel a lot less exhausting. Plus, the interior is removable, which is a lifesaver for keeping things fresh after a muddy adventure.
Now, what really sets this helmet apart is the custom wiring done by the pros at PCI. They use top-notch components, and you can even get the RaceAir modification, which is a game changer for ventilation. Seriously, those channeled air vents make a world of difference when you’re out there tearing it up.
Let’s talk features. The PCI Elite Wiring comes with a black 4-pin connector that works seamlessly with both Elite and Comlink X intercom systems. It’s DOT approved, so it’s perfect for recreational use, though keep in mind it’s not rated for racing. You get a complete setup with a microphone, large high-watt speakers, and a water-resistant pigtail that can handle whatever Mother Nature throws at you.
The helmet itself is built with an advanced polycarbonate composite shell, which means it’s tough enough to take a hit while still being lightweight—just 4.05 lbs when wired with RaceAir. The cheek pads and liner are plush and made from Nylex, and they’re removable and washable, so you can keep your helmet clean after those dusty rides.
One of my favorite features is the 95% UV protection shield. It’s easy to remove and install without any tools, which is a nice touch when you need to swap it out quickly. Oh, and if you want to add a helmet skirt, it’s got Velcro already installed for that (just remember, it’s sold separately).
In short, if you’re serious about your UTV riding, the HJC i10 is definitely worth considering. It’s got the comfort, the features, and the quality that every rider needs.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
