If you’re looking for a helmet that really gets what UTV riding is all about, the HJC i10 is a solid choice. I’ve put this helmet through its paces, and I can tell you—it’s comfy, lightweight, and just feels right on your head. One of the first things you’ll notice is how easy it is to pop out the interior for cleaning. After a long day of riding, that’s a lifesaver.

Now, let’s talk about the wiring. This helmet comes custom wired by the pros at PCI, and they know their stuff. You’ve got a black 4-pin connector that works seamlessly with Elite and Comlink X intercom systems. So if you’re out there with your buddies, you can chat without missing a beat. And speaking of comfort, the helmet is set up with a microphone and some seriously good high-watt speakers. Trust me, you’ll appreciate the sound quality when you’re cruising through the trails.

One feature I really dig is the RaceAir modification. This helmet has channeled air vents that keep the airflow fresh, which is a game-changer on those hot days. You won’t find yourself sweating buckets inside this bad boy. Plus, the advanced polycarbonate composite shell gives you that peace of mind knowing you’ve got solid protection without the extra weight—just 4.05 lbs when wired up with Race Air.

It’s also DOT approved, so it’s good for recreational use, though keep in mind it’s not meant for racing. If you’re thinking of hitting the trails or just cruising around, this helmet has got you covered. And for those sunny days, the shield offers 95% UV protection and is super easy to swap out—no tools required. Just a quick flick, and you’re ready to roll.

Oh, and if you want to add a bit of flair, there’s Velcro installed for a helmet skirt (that’s sold separately, but it’s a nice touch). Overall, the HJC i10 is a helmet that balances comfort, functionality, and protection. If you’re serious about your ride, this is definitely one to consider.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
