If you’re into UTV riding, you’ve probably heard about the HJC i10 helmet. I’ve had my hands on this bad boy for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s a solid choice for anyone who spends time off the beaten path. First off, it’s super comfy and surprisingly lightweight—at just 4.05 lbs, you’ll hardly notice you’re wearing it, even during those long rides.

One of the standout features is the removable interior. After a dusty day on the trails, it’s a breeze to pop out the cheek pads and liner for a good wash. Plus, the plush Nylex material feels great against your skin, which is a nice touch when you’re out in the sun.

Now, if you’re looking to stay connected while you ride, the PCI custom wiring is a game changer. It comes with a gray 5-pin connector that’s compatible with Trax stereo intercom systems, so you can chat with your buddies without yelling over the engine noise. The setup includes a solid microphone and some hefty speakers that really pump out the sound. And if you’re worried about moisture, the H2NO water-resistant pigtail has you covered.

For those hot days, the RaceAir modification is worth considering. It features channeled air vents that provide airflow right where you need it, keeping you cool when the sun is blazing. Just remember, while this helmet is DOT approved for recreational use, it’s not meant for racing, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to hit the track.

Another nice perk is the 95% UV protection shield. It’s easy to swap out too—no tools required. And if you want to add a little extra protection from the elements, you can attach a helmet skirt (that’s sold separately) with the built-in Velcro.

All in all, the HJC i10 is a solid investment for anyone serious about their UTV adventures. It’s got the comfort, the tech, and the durability to keep up with your off-road lifestyle.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
