If you're looking to upgrade your off-road experience, let me tell you about the 2677 PCI Race Radios HJC Playcar Helmet Shield in Silver. This isn't just any helmet shield; it’s designed with the serious racer in mind. I’ve had my fair share of adventures behind the wheel, and trust me, having the right gear makes all the difference.
This shield fits perfectly with the HJC Playcar helmet, providing a snug seal that keeps dust and debris at bay. You know how those unexpected bumps can kick up dirt? This shield has you covered, letting you focus on the trail ahead instead of the grime flying at your face. The silver tint isn’t just for looks; it helps reduce glare, which is a game-changer when you’re battling the sun on those long drives.
What I really appreciate about this shield is its durability. Made to withstand the rigors of racing, it’s built tough without compromising on visibility. You get a clear view of your surroundings, which is crucial when you're navigating tricky terrains. Plus, it’s easy to clean—just a quick wipe and you’re good to go.
Installation is a breeze, too. You won’t need a toolbox full of fancy gadgets to get it on your helmet. Just a few simple steps and you’re ready to hit the road or the race track. And if you’re like me and enjoy a bit of customization, the sleek silver finish pairs well with just about any helmet design.
So, if you're gearing up for your next adventure, consider adding this shield to your setup. It’s one of those pieces of gear that you’ll be glad you invested in when the dust starts flying and the adrenaline kicks in.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
