If you’re serious about racing, you know how crucial it is to have the right gear. The Hybrid Sport from Simpson is a game changer, especially if you’re looking for something that doesn’t weigh you down. Made with DuPont carbon/polymer, this head and neck restraint is not just light; it’s tough as nails. You’ll appreciate how it strikes that sweet spot between comfort and maneuverability—perfect for those high-speed turns.
One of the best features? The low profile design. When you strap this on, it practically disappears into your seat. That means you can hop in and out of your race car without worrying about getting snagged on other gear. Trust me, you don’t want to be fumbling around when you’re trying to make a quick exit.
This thing is built for the long haul, too. It stays put during multiple impacts, flips, and rolls, so you can focus on the track instead of your safety gear. It's SFI 38.1 certified, which adds an extra layer of reassurance that you're getting top-notch protection.
And if you’re working with youth racers, this model comes in a youth size, making it a solid choice for the next generation of speed demons. The post clip tethers and anchors make installation straightforward—no guesswork here. Plus, the sleek design with those defined wings keeps your seatbelt right where it should be. If you're curious about how to install it, check out the installation instructions for a step-by-step guide.
In short, the 3367 PCI Race Radios Hybrid Sport Head and Neck Restraint is a must-have for anyone serious about racing. It’s a blend of safety, comfort, and functionality that you can count on when the rubber meets the road.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
