If you’re looking to streamline your in-vehicle communication setup, the PCI Race Radios Icom Universal Flat Mounting Bracket is a solid choice. I’ve installed a few of these in my rides, and I can tell you, they really make life easier. This bracket gives you the flexibility to mount your Icom two-way radio or intercom system under the dash, on the roof, or pretty much any flat surface you can think of. It’s designed for a clean, built-in look that doesn’t scream ‘afterthought.’

One of the standout features is its powder-coated satin black finish. Not only does it look good, but it also adds a layer of durability that can withstand the bumps and scrapes of off-road adventures. Just a heads-up, though—this bracket is specifically made for the Icom radios and the 4 Link Pro, 4 Link Pro Elite, TRAX, and Com X Race intercom systems. If you’re rocking a Kenwood or Vertex radio, you’ll need to look elsewhere. But for those of us who are already in the Icom camp, this bracket is a game changer.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
