  • Pre-installed Velcro for a helmet skirt (sold separately) for added comfort.
  • Custom wired with large, high-watt speakers and an H2NO water-resistant pigtail and ear jack plug. Compatible with Challenger II or Semi-Custom Ear Pieces.
  • Optional Trax Stereo wiring available for Trax intercom systems—just add the $25 upgrade to your cart.
  • Upgrade to noise-attenuating ear cups for enhanced sound isolation. These ear cups provide a snug fit, ensuring that once they're on, you won't want to take them off!
  • Includes a standard low-noise, low-gain microphone, with an option to upgrade to a Gentex Microphone for $124.99.
  • All SA2015 and SA2020 helmets come with a 6mm back plate for easy installation of head and neck restraint hardware. If you purchase this hardware, we’ll install it for free—just let us know in the order notes.
  • Optional hydration system upgrade available to keep you hydrated during long races.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
