PCI Race Radios PCI Wired Impact 1320 Side Air SA2020 Flat Black

Hey there! If you’re in the market for a solid helmet that won’t let you down on the track, check out the PCI Wired Impact 1320 Side Air SA2020 in Flat Black. Seriously, this helmet is built for those who take their racing seriously, but it’s got a casual vibe that you’ll appreciate.

First off, let’s talk about the design. The flat black finish gives it a sleek look, and the wide, low eye port? It’s a game-changer. You get an awesome field of view, so you can keep an eye on the dash and everything around you without straining your neck. No more squinting to see what’s going on!

Now, the construction is where this helmet shines. Made from proprietary lightweight composites, it’s tough but won’t weigh you down. At just 4.5 lbs wired (without ear cups), you’ll hardly notice it’s on, even during those long races.

One feature I really dig is the side forced air inlet with a barbed adapter. It helps keep you cool when things heat up, and if you’re like me, you know how important that is when you're pushing your limits. Plus, there’s Velcro already installed for a helmet skirt, which you can grab separately if you want to keep the dust out.

For those who love their tunes, this helmet comes PCI custom wired with large, high-watt speakers. You can even add Challenger II or semi-custom ear pieces for that extra comfort. And if you want to upgrade to noise-attenuating ear cups, you’ll be glad you did. They fit snugly, and while it’s a bit of a squeeze getting the helmet on, the noise cancellation is top-notch. Trust me, it’s worth it once you’re on the track!

Oh, and if you’re into intercom systems, you can wire this helmet for Trax Stereo with a simple $25 upgrade. It’s a nice touch for those long races where communication is key.

One thing to note: all SA2015 and SA2020 helmets come with a 6mm back plate installed, making it super easy to set up head and neck restraint hardware. If you decide to get one of those restraints, just let us know in the notes, and we’ll install it for you at no extra charge.

And if you’re planning to stay hydrated on the go, there’s an optional hydration system upgrade available too. It’s all about keeping you focused and ready for the next lap.

Just a heads up, our inventory changes daily, so it’s a good idea to check in with us if you have any questions or want to know about lead times. You can also order online, and we’ll get back to you in a few hours.

So, if you’re looking for a helmet that’s got your back on the track, the PCI Wired Impact 1320 Side Air SA2020 is a solid choice. Get ready to race!

What is PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios has been the leader in off-road and racing communications since 1972. The company takes pride in its extensive field testing, competitive prices, unparalleled customer service, and simplified packages that make communications easy with unmatched support even after the sale. With more than 45 years of experience in the off-road racing industry, PCI Race Radios develops and tests all of its own products. The brand has a full-service technical repair shop at its headquarters in Long Beach, California, and provides trackside, mobile services to its desert enthusiasts at off-road races. PCI Race Radios supports the ASA, CORVA, ORBA, and the San Diego Off-Road Coalition. It also sponsors District 37, SCORE, SNORE, MDR, MORE, CORR, BITD, and provides desert racers with the Weatherman Relay Service.

PCI Race Radios is a family-owned company that is dedicated to taking the time to both “race and play.” The company tests its products on dirt bikes, motorcycles, quads, rock crawlers, race cars, Raptors, RZRs, Mavericks, and boats. It can, therefore, thoroughly understand consumers’ needs and offer hands-on recommendations from experience.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
