Just start speaking, and the mic kicks in automatically, lowering your music volume so you can have a smooth conversation. Once you're done, the tunes come right back up—no annoying interruptions.

Thinking about stepping it up a notch? The Elite Plus Intercom has a fresh, stealthy appearance with anodized knobs, and you can control Bluetooth volume right at your fingertips. If you want to jam out while you ride, adding Bluetooth is a game changer. It pipes music straight into your headset and lets you control playback and phone calls with a simple central button—pause, play, answer, or hang up—all while keeping your focus on the road.

Did you just slap on a new exhaust or maybe a roaring V8? You’ll want to check out the DSP feature. It uses Digital Signal Processing to filter out all the background noise, so you only hear your voice. It’s a one-touch operation on the intercom—turn it on when you need some peace, and off when you want to hear that beast under the hood.

When it’s time to communicate with other vehicles, just hit the included PTT (Push to Talk) button. Your music won’t drown out important messages; the system auto-adjusts the volume when a transmission comes through. It’s all about keeping you connected without missing a beat.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
