If you’re looking to really amp up your ride, the Trax Plus Intercom is where it’s at. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with intercom systems, and let me tell you, this one hits the sweet spot. You can chat with your passengers without yelling over the engine roar or blasting tunes. Just start talking, and the system automatically lowers the music volume, letting your voice come through clear as day. Once you're done, the music ramps back up, so you don’t miss a beat.
Now, let’s talk about the Bluetooth with Volume Control. This feature is standard on the Trax Plus and makes controlling your music a total breeze. Want to skip that song you’re tired of? No problem! You can pause, play, or even take calls right from the central Bluetooth knob. You won’t have to fumble around while you’re on the go.
For those of you who’ve upgraded to a new exhaust or have a V8 that sounds like a beast, you’ll want to consider the Digital Signal Processing (DSP). This nifty feature cuts out all the background noise, letting your voice shine through. Just a simple press on the intercom, and you can toggle DSP on when you need some quiet or off when you want to hear that engine roar.
Communication with other vehicles in your group is straightforward too. Just hit the included Push to Talk (PTT) button, and you’re good to go. The system auto-adjusts the volume so you won’t miss any crucial radio transmissions while jamming out.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
