If you're looking for a helmet that’s got your back on the track (or just cruising around), the Pyrotect Sportmax DOT Helmet is a solid choice. This isn’t just any helmet; it’s designed with mid air technology for extra clearance, which is a game changer when you’re in the car. You know how it feels to be cramped up in a helmet? Not here. This one gives you breathing room.
Now, let’s talk about the tech. This helmet comes with PCI Elite Wiring, featuring a slick black 4-pin connector that works perfectly with Elite and Comlink X intercom systems. That means you can stay connected with your crew without any hassle. The custom wiring includes a mic and some seriously powerful speakers, so you can hear everything without straining.
And let’s not forget about the H2NO water-resistant pigtail—because let’s face it, things can get messy out there. Whether you're hitting the trails or just enjoying a day out, this helmet has you covered. It's DOT approved, which means it's great for recreational use, though keep in mind it’s not meant for racing. But hey, for those weekend adventures, it’s perfect.
Worried about dust? No problem. It comes with a dust skirt to keep things clean and comfortable. Plus, the Midair Raceair fitting is designed to help with airflow, so you won’t be sweating bullets while you’re trying to focus on the road.
As for sizing, this one is a 2X-Large, so make sure you check your measurements before you grab it. Overall, the Pyrotect Sportmax helmet is a solid blend of comfort and functionality, making it a reliable companion on your next adventure.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
