The Pyrotect Carbon Fiber Sportmax DOT Helmet is designed for those who demand safety without compromising comfort and functionality. Ideal for automotive enthusiasts, this helmet features a mid-air design that provides extra clearance within your vehicle, making it perfect for tight-fit applications in race cars and off-road rigs alike.
When it comes to safety gear, proper fit is crucial. This helmet is designed to ensure a snug fit that minimizes the risk of injury. To find your size, measure around your head approximately one inch above your eyebrows and across the back of your head at the widest point. Keep in mind that helmets tend to break in over time, so it’s essential to choose a fit that feels secure yet comfortable.
Owners of vehicles like the 2023 Ford Bronco have praised the helmet's fit and comfort, noting that it allows for easy communication with teammates while providing a secure feel during off-road excursions. One happy customer shared, "I installed this helmet for my son who rides with me in the Bronco. The fit is perfect, and he loves the extra clearance it offers!"
Whether you're cruising the trails or tackling the track, the Pyrotect Carbon Fiber Sportmax DOT Helmet combines safety, comfort, and functionality for an unbeatable experience on the road.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.
Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
