PCI Race Radios Wired Pyrotect ProSport Carbon MidAir Helmet X-Large
$984.99

Hey there, fellow racers and motorsport enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for a helmet that checks all the boxes without breaking the bank, let me tell you about the SA2020 Pro Sport Carbon Tri-Weave Composite Helmet. This isn’t just any helmet; it’s a solid piece of gear designed with your safety and comfort in mind, and it’s got some clever features that make it stand out.

First off, it’s SNELL SA 2020 certified, so you know it meets the latest safety standards. The shell is made from a lightweight carbon composite tri-weave that’s vacuum bagged and autoclave cured. Trust me, you’ll barely notice you’re wearing it, weighing in at just 3.80 lbs when wired.

Speaking of wiring, this helmet comes prepped with PCI custom wiring, featuring large, high-watt speakers and an H2NO water-resistant pigtail and ear jack. If you want to take it a step further, you can upgrade to a Gentex noise-canceling microphone for those noisy race days—definitely worth considering if you want clear communication on the track.

For those who love forced air systems, it’s ready to go with the Pyrotect mid-forced air setup, so you can hook up your RaceAir system without any hassle. And if you’re into the finer details, there’s a Velcro installed for a helmet skirt (just remember, that’s sold separately).

One of my favorite features is the unique 6-pad interior system. It not only gives you a better fit but also helps with heat transfer and makes cleaning a breeze. Plus, if you’re using a Trax intercom system, you can easily wire it in with a simple $25 upgrade.

Oh, and if you’re planning on using a head and neck restraint system, this helmet comes with a 6mm back plate already installed. If you buy the restraint hardware, just let us know, and we’ll install it for you at no extra charge. How’s that for service?

And if you’re into staying hydrated while you race, there’s an optional hydration system upgrade available too. It’s little things like this that make a big difference when you’re out on the track.

Helmet Size:

  • Inches: 24 - 24 3/8
  • Hat Size: 7 1/2 - 7 3/4
  • Centimeters: 61-62

So, if you’re looking for a reliable helmet that won’t let you down and keeps you comfortable while you push your limits, the SA2020 Pro Sport Carbon is definitely worth checking out!

What is PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios has been the leader in off-road and racing communications since 1972. The company takes pride in its extensive field testing, competitive prices, unparalleled customer service, and simplified packages that make communications easy with unmatched support even after the sale. With more than 45 years of experience in the off-road racing industry, PCI Race Radios develops and tests all of its own products. The brand has a full-service technical repair shop at its headquarters in Long Beach, California, and provides trackside, mobile services to its desert enthusiasts at off-road races. PCI Race Radios supports the ASA, CORVA, ORBA, and the San Diego Off-Road Coalition. It also sponsors District 37, SCORE, SNORE, MDR, MORE, CORR, BITD, and provides desert racers with the Weatherman Relay Service.

PCI Race Radios is a family-owned company that is dedicated to taking the time to both “race and play.” The company tests its products on dirt bikes, motorcycles, quads, rock crawlers, race cars, Raptors, RZRs, Mavericks, and boats. It can, therefore, thoroughly understand consumers’ needs and offer hands-on recommendations from experience.

Who is Behind PCI Race Radios?

PCI Race Radios was started in 1972 when Bob Steinberger put communications in the vehicles of Bill Stroppe, Joe MacPherson and Walker Evans. At the 1974 Mint 400, Steinberger sent up three weather balloons with 500 feet of coax attached to them. It was that day when the first successful radio relay from a pit was made. Since then, Bob’s iconic status has spanned through nearly half a century of work with his communications brand, PCI Race Radios.

Bob Steinberger passed away in 2017, handing over the company to his son Scott, who has been racing since 1983. Scott Steinberger understands what goes into racing and the importance of quality (communication) products that help get you to the finish line.
