The concept is simple: the larger the vent, the faster you can fill your fuel cell. Just remember to give the FKM O-ring a little lubrication before you install your DSV valve to ensure a snug fit!

Fuel Tank Venting
Once your tank is filled, the upper sealing ball valve floats to the top of the internal DSV chamber, effectively shutting off the air source. This clever design prevents fuel from escaping up and out of the fuel cell vent line, keeping everything secure.
Roll-Over Protection
Safety is paramount, especially in the unfortunate event of an accident. If your vehicle finds itself upside down, the lower stainless steel ball keeps the ball valve sealed tight, ensuring that no fuel leaks from the vent line. It's peace of mind when you need it most!
Installation Notes
- DSV and Filler Height Relationship: Make sure the vertical height of the top (shut-off) ball in the dynamic safety valve is positioned lower than the highest point of the fuel fill point.
- Filler and Vent Height Relationship: At least one part of the vent tubing (not included) should be positioned above the highest point of the fuel fill point for optimal performance.
Fuel Level Adapter: 20-0439 12AN ORB to 5-Bolt SAE Adapter
If you're working with an older FCST that has 8AN ORB vent threads (20-014X-XX), you can easily use this adapter to fit a Radium Engineering DSV. Just keep in mind that this adapter does not allow for the use of a fuel level sender while in place.
