All Radium Fuel Surge Tanks (FSTs) are expertly CNC machined from high-quality aluminum and come fully anodized. The kit features PTFE insulated wiring and submersible hose, ensuring it meets the demands of alcohol fuels like ethanol, methanol, and E85. When installed, the FST is cleverly positioned in a collision-safe zone, right behind the rear seat yet in front of the trunk's plastic paneling. This thoughtful design means you can retain 100% of your usable trunk space, as the panel fits back perfectly after installation.

Easy Installation

The kit includes a powder-coated aluminum bracket that secures to OEM mounting points, meaning no drilling or cutting is necessary. Plus, you won't have to relocate the OEM battery or windshield washer fluid bottle, making the process even smoother.

Simple Wiring and Preassembled Hoses

Wiring is a breeze with the included components, featuring flying leads, a weatherproof fuse, and a relay to power the fuel pump. You can have everything wired up in less than 30 minutes'no soldering required!

You'll also receive four PTFE hoses that are preassembled and cut to length, specifically designed for this application. PTFE hoses are ideal for handling all types of fuel, especially those with high alcohol content. Unlike standard rubber hoses, PTFE is non-permeable, which means you won't have to worry about any fuel vapor smells inside your vehicle. The hoses come with anodized aluminum hose ends and are reinforced with a stainless steel braid, ensuring they can withstand extreme fuel pressures. They are supplied in a -6AN size and integrate seamlessly with your stock fuel lines without completely replacing them.

Important Notes

  • Pressure should remain around 47.5 psi for optimal performance.
  • If you're considering a Radium Engineering dual internal pump FST, this kit can accommodate that. Just remember that the plumbing and electrical components are designed for a single pump, so you'll need to select a dual pump FST and a DIY harness for the additional pump.
  • For those needing a Radium FST-R, this kit is compatible but designed to reuse the OEM Mitsubishi fuel pressure regulator (FPR). One hose in the kit won't be used, and you'll need to either remove or plug the OEM 1/4" rubber FPR return hose. The FPR vacuum hose will also need to be extended to the trunk. These scenarios aren't covered in depth in the instruction manual, so feel free to reach out for more details.
  • Due to the restrictive return port on the OEM fuel pump housing, a slightly higher static fuel pressure is normal with a high-flow pump. To improve fuel flow back into the OEM fuel tank, you may want to modify (enlarge) the return port.

Warranty

All Radium Engineering brand products are subject to a 1 Year Limited Warranty from the date of original purchase. If a product fails, it will be repaired or replaced at Radium Engineering's option when it has been determined by Radium Engineering to have failed due to defects in materials or workmanship. Warranty claims must be made by the original purchaser. If the purchase was made from a retailer other than radiumauto.com, please contact the place of purchase for further assistance.

This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the merchandise only and shall not, in no event, exceed the original purchase price. Radium Engineering will not be held responsible for secondary or consequential damages or costs (including labor, towing, etc.) incurred due to failure of this product. Standard ground shipping is used for all warranty transactions. Expedited shipping is available, but the cost difference must be paid by the end user in advance of the shipment.

Warranty claims must ship pre-paid to Radium Engineering for review. Claims must include the failed part(s), RMA number, and original proof of purchase. If the claim is missing any of these items, it may be rejected and returned to sender. Product must be received by Radium Engineering within 14 days of RMA's issue date. Please note that before Radium Engineering can issue an RMA for any product, it is first necessary for the installer or end user to contact [email protected] to discuss the problem. Most issues can be resolved via email. Under no circumstances should a product be returned or a RMA requested before the above process transpires.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Improper use, installation, modification, abuse, or unauthorized repairs or alterations voids this warranty. Credit for defective products will be issued pending inspection by Radium Engineering. This warranty does not extend to third party products often used in Radium Engineering products, such as fuel pumps, turbochargers, or any other non-Radium Engineering brand products.
