Instead of having a quick disconnect buckle, you’ve got two independent shoulder straps that attach straight to the mounting point. This means less hassle and more reliability when you’re in the heat of the moment. You can wrap or bolt the straps, but most folks find that wrapping them around a harness bar works best.
This harness is a great fit for those of you still rocking stock seats but want something safer for track days, especially in cars where the back seat is more of a myth than a reality. Just a heads up, though: make sure those shoulder strap attachment points are sturdy. You don’t want to be bolting them to flimsy sheet metal or child seat anchors; they need to be reinforced to handle the forces that come with spirited driving.

- Recent testing has shown that Rallye Cross harnesses are now universal—no more worrying about left or right sides. Just keep in mind that this harness isn’t compatible with HANS or other head and neck restraints, and it may exceed the maximum shoulder strap downward angle recommended by Schroth.
