The SR 16156-1 harness anchors to factory mounting points, ensuring a secure installation that can withstand a load of up to 3,000 pounds for 6 seconds. The harness incorporates Schroth's ASM (Anti-Submarining Technology), which keeps the lap belt positioned correctly, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring that the driver remains firmly planted in the seat.
Additionally, the Quick Fit Harness utilizes the factory seat belt pre-tensioner, which tightens the belt by 1-2 inches in the event of a collision. This integration allows the airbags to deploy as designed, ensuring optimal safety for the occupant. Unlike many aftermarket harnesses, the Quick Fit does not interfere with the vehicle's airbag system, maintaining the intended safety features.
Installation and Compatibility
The SR 16156-1 harness is designed for use with stock seats that have passed a seat back strength test. It is not compatible with fixed-back or aftermarket seats, except for specific models such as the Cobra Nogaro and Recaro Pole Position ABE, which are approved for use in already certified vehicles. Note that this harness is not compatible with HANS or other head and neck restraint devices; for those requiring such compatibility, the Quick Fit Pro version is recommended.
