DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING: With our Porsche 996 exhaust system, we wanted to get as aggressive as possible while minimizing drone - greater volume with a greater amount of pops and burbles on deceleration. Support for high power was another consideration - necessitating 3" tubing. We experimented with adding a mixing chamber into our X-pipe design. The analysis in 3D CAD software showed a general increase in velocity gained downstream of the mixing chamber across a band of measured pressure and temperature levels. This produces optimal flow characteristics, reduced back pressure for higher horsepower, and enhances the sound quality of the Porsche exhaust system. Helmholtz resonators were engineered to target and reduce droning in the 2000-300 RPM range. Quad race resonators make a discernible difference in reducing drone while encouraging a more refined exhaust note.

SOUND: You'll finally be able to hear your Porsche 996 exhaust and turbos sing in full song! Expect a very aggressive sport car sound at full throttle. The 996 GT2 platform is prone to droning in the 2-3k RPM range with freer flowing exhausts. Our Helmholtz resonators and quad resonators cut down on droning, but volume in the cabin is certainly pronounced - this is a system for those who like it aggressive. If a refined cabin experience is more important than a CUP car-inspired tone, our catted Sport exhaust is a more suitable option.

CONSTRUCTION: Each system is made from mandrel bent T304L 3" .065" wall stainless steel tubing, straight through race resonators with a full metal packing design for maximum durability, and laser cut brackets for perfect fitment. Custom Mikalor Supra Heavy-Duty Clamps are included to securely install the exhaust system to your Porsche.

HJS CATALYSTS: The highest quality catalytic converters available, known for their industry leading flow and durability. They are efficient enough to meet strict EURO 4 emission standards while still allowing for an increase in flow - all without a check engine light. The HD design uses premium triple foil winding for maximum strength. The brazing stripe is an extra feature in the interest of durability - it prevents the core from moving or experiencing any damage from sustained high horsepower abuse. We use a large and appropriately sized catalyst to allow for maximum gains - no compromises here!

BOLT ON AND GO: Each exhaust is rigorously quality-checked and tested in a fixture to ensure perfect fitment. Thorough installation instructions are included in the box for a straightforward install that can be performed by most DIY enthusiasts. Valves are controlled by the existing valve button, our valve controller fobs, and are compatible with HomeLink!
