Stant is a company that was founded in 1912 in Connersville, Indiana. It started as the largest producer of piano tuning pins when it ventured into developing locks for the MotoMeter temperature gauge on automotive radiators back in 1920. From then on, it started making components for various vehicles including the hood ornaments for classic cars such as the Ford Model A, Lincoln, Packard, Pierce Arrow and Auburn.
