Swift Springs 100-188-120B3: Performance Race Springs for Serious Enthusiasts

If you're looking to enhance your ride's performance, the Swift Springs 100-188-120B3 is a game-changer for automotive enthusiasts who demand more from their suspension. Designed with extensive input from top racers in the U.S. and abroad, these springs are engineered to deliver superior handling and ride quality across various motorsport disciplines including oval track racing, drag racing, and off-road adventures.

Why Choose Swift Springs?

Unlike typical springs that merely adjust ride stiffness, Swift Springs focus on enhancing traction, improving weight transfer, and maintaining ride quality. The 100-188-120B3 springs utilize H5S.TW. material, which is more advanced than conventional silicone chrome steel. This allows for a more responsive design with fewer coils, reducing un-sprung weight and increasing stroke—key factors for optimizing your vehicle's performance.

Innovative Barrel Design

Most of Swift's springs over 10 inches, including this model, feature a barrel design that addresses common issues like spring deflection (bowing). Bowing can lead to inconsistent spring rates and potential damage to shock components. Swift's approach minimizes these risks while ensuring a consistent setup, allowing for easier adjustments and improved fitment.

Key Features

  • Spring Rate: 120 lbs/inch
  • Usable Stroke: 6.2 inches
  • Max Stroke: 7.3 inches
  • Max Load: 877 lbs

Fitment

  • Universal fitment for a variety of applications

Real-World Experience

For example, a 2021 Ford F-150 owner shared, “I installed the Swift Springs on my truck, and the difference was immediate. The handling is sharper, and I can take corners at higher speeds without losing grip. Plus, the ride quality is noticeably better, even on rough terrain.”

Whether you're hitting the track or just want to improve your daily drive, the Swift Springs 100-188-120B3 is designed to meet the demands of serious racers and car enthusiasts alike. Upgrade your suspension and experience the difference today!

Why was Swift Springs Formed?

Swift Springs was founded in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan as a motorsports division of Tokyo Hatsujo Manufacturing Co, Ltd., which has been leading the spring industry since 1924. Swift Springs was established to demonstrate their superior engineering by developing the next generation of sport suspension coilover springs. The scope of the project was to surpass the best of any other brand or design in the market by making the springs ultra-durable and lightweight, while still being affordable.

World-Class Racing Experience

Since its inception, Swift Springs has been led by former racer and suspension expert Kei Yokota and the chief engineer Yasu Saito. Their first-hand experience and involvement within the race industry have propelled Swift Springs through the ranks of the world’s most prestigious races. Swift quickly became the most recognized and respected name in performance coil springs in motorsports all around the globe.

The brand’s impressive motor racing history started in 1998 with a Nissan Skyline GT-R in the Super Taikyu Endurance championship series in Japan. Swift Springs moved on to support championship teams in the 24 Hours Nurburgring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, D-1 World Grand Prix, F3, Formula Toyota, the Super Taikyu series, and many other world-class races. In 2004, Team Goh’s Audi R8 won first place with Swift Springs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

All Springs are not Created Equal

All coilover spring manufacturers claim to have four factors: lightest in weight, largest amount of stroke, most consistent spring rate, and highest durability against loss of spring height. Only the innovative and revolutionary Swift Springs achieve the fifth factor which is having the fastest reaction speed possible to gain compliance on road surface conditions. While diameters and spring rates may be similar across several brands, the spring manufacturing process is what determines exactly how well they will perform. To achieve all five factors, Swift Springs developed a proprietary steel alloy "HS5.TW", as well as a patented winding method that no other coilover manufacturer can duplicate.

Swift Springs provide drivers with a difference that they can feel and several racing benefits. Swift Springs use a very strong alloy, which means they can use a thinner diameter of wire. In turn, the thinner wire is much lighter and extremely vital given it is unsprung weight. Thinner wire also means that there is more gap between the coils with more “stroke” for the spring. This gives the spring more travel and does not “bottom” as early as thicker wire springs. Lastly, Swift Springs prove to be incredibly consistent and reliable. At the end of one year of racing, Swift Springs are typically within .5-1.0 percent of the rate they were when they just came out of the box.
