Swift Springs 1.88" Standard Coilover Spring 10" Length 200 lbs/in Universal Fit
$89.25

If you're diving into the world of racing, you probably know that the U.S. is home to some of the most passionate racers out there. Having spent time testing our products on tracks across Europe and Asia, we’re pretty confident that our springs can hold their own right here in the States. Swift has crafted these standard measurement race springs specifically for American racing styles, whether you're tearing up an oval track, hitting the drag strip, or taking on some rugged off-road terrain.

What makes these springs stand out? Well, we've taken a hard look at what American racers really need and designed our springs based on feedback from top-tier competitors. They’re a bit different from our metric coilover springs, and that's intentional.

Now, many folks might swap out springs just to feel a stiffer or softer ride, but what if you could actually boost your traction, enjoy smoother weight transfer, and get a more predictable feel out on the track? That’s where Swift Springs come into play. Our engineers took that idea and ran with it, turning it into something tangible that you can feel on your next run.

We use H5S.TW. material in our springs, which is a step up from the usual silicone chrome steel. This allows us to create a more responsive spring with fewer coils, which means less un-sprung weight and more stroke. You’ll notice the difference on the track—these springs are built for serious performance.

For our 10" springs and longer (excluding the drag racing and conventional springs), we’ve gone with a barrel design. This isn’t just for looks; it helps tackle the common issue of spring deflection. When springs bow, it can lead to inconsistent rates and even damage to your shock body. Nobody wants that, right?

Some might think the easy fix is to just add more coils to reduce bowing, but that comes with its own set of problems—less spring stroke and increased un-sprung mass can throw off your entire setup. We’ve designed our barrel springs with a maximum outer diameter of 4" (with a few exceptions), which means you won’t have to worry about fitting issues with tighter clearances. A heavier rate spring shouldn't interfere with your suspension components, and we’ve made sure of that.

Features:

  • Spring Rate: 200 lbs/inch
  • Usable Stroke: 5.7 Inch
  • Max Stroke: 6.5 Inch
  • Max Load: 1317 lbs

Fitment:

  • Universal

So if you’re looking to push your ride to the next level, the 100-188-200B3 Swift Springs with a 1.88" ID and 10" length might just be what you need. With a spring rate of 200 lbs/inch, these springs are ready to take on whatever you throw at them.

Why was Swift Springs Formed?

Swift Springs was founded in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan as a motorsports division of Tokyo Hatsujo Manufacturing Co, Ltd., which has been leading the spring industry since 1924. Swift Springs was established to demonstrate their superior engineering by developing the next generation of sport suspension coilover springs. The scope of the project was to surpass the best of any other brand or design in the market by making the springs ultra-durable and lightweight, while still being affordable.

World-Class Racing Experience

Since its inception, Swift Springs has been led by former racer and suspension expert Kei Yokota and the chief engineer Yasu Saito. Their first-hand experience and involvement within the race industry have propelled Swift Springs through the ranks of the world’s most prestigious races. Swift quickly became the most recognized and respected name in performance coil springs in motorsports all around the globe.

The brand’s impressive motor racing history started in 1998 with a Nissan Skyline GT-R in the Super Taikyu Endurance championship series in Japan. Swift Springs moved on to support championship teams in the 24 Hours Nurburgring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, D-1 World Grand Prix, F3, Formula Toyota, the Super Taikyu series, and many other world-class races. In 2004, Team Goh’s Audi R8 won first place with Swift Springs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

All Springs are not Created Equal

All coilover spring manufacturers claim to have four factors: lightest in weight, largest amount of stroke, most consistent spring rate, and highest durability against loss of spring height. Only the innovative and revolutionary Swift Springs achieve the fifth factor which is having the fastest reaction speed possible to gain compliance on road surface conditions. While diameters and spring rates may be similar across several brands, the spring manufacturing process is what determines exactly how well they will perform. To achieve all five factors, Swift Springs developed a proprietary steel alloy "HS5.TW", as well as a patented winding method that no other coilover manufacturer can duplicate.

Swift Springs provide drivers with a difference that they can feel and several racing benefits. Swift Springs use a very strong alloy, which means they can use a thinner diameter of wire. In turn, the thinner wire is much lighter and extremely vital given it is unsprung weight. Thinner wire also means that there is more gap between the coils with more “stroke” for the spring. This gives the spring more travel and does not “bottom” as early as thicker wire springs. Lastly, Swift Springs prove to be incredibly consistent and reliable. At the end of one year of racing, Swift Springs are typically within .5-1.0 percent of the rate they were when they just came out of the box.
