Swift Springs Metric Coilover Spring ID 65MM 2.56" Length 10" 782 lbs/Inch Universal Fit
$111.35

If you're diving into the world of performance tuning, you’ve probably heard of Swift Springs. They've been around for over 90 years, and trust me, they know their stuff when it comes to making springs that don’t just look good on paper but actually perform on the road or track. Their experience in industrial spring manufacturing really shows in the quality of their products.

Now, let’s talk about what sets these springs apart. A lot of folks swap springs and end up feeling like they just got a firmer or softer ride without much else changing. But with Swift, you’re looking at a whole new level of handling. Imagine getting better traction, smoother weight transfer, and a ride that feels more predictable. Plus, these springs help keep your tire temps lower, which is a big deal if you’re pushing your car hard.

What’s the secret sauce? Swift uses a special material called H5S.TW. It’s a step up from the usual silicone chrome steel, allowing them to wind springs with fewer coils. This means less unsprung weight and more stroke, which translates to a more responsive ride.

For those of you in the sport compact and road race scene, you’ll appreciate that Swift has rolled out a metric line of coilover springs. This makes things a lot simpler when you're trying to figure out what fits your setup. They’ve got a variety of sizes to choose from, with inner diameters ranging from 60mm (2.25") to 70mm (2.75"). The spring lengths go from 127mm (5") to 280mm (11"), and spring rates vary from 3kg (168lbs) up to a whopping 34kg (1900lbs). So whether you want a comfy ride for daily driving or a stiff setup for racing, there’s something here for you.

Features:

  • Spring Rate: 782 lbs/inch
  • Usable Stroke: 3.9"
  • Max Stroke: 6.2"
  • Max Load: 4836 lbs

Fitment:

  • Universal

Note:

  • You may need more than one for your vehicle.

The Z65-254-140 Swift Springs Metric Coilover Spring comes with an inner diameter of 65MM (2.56 inches) and a length of 10 inches, with a spring rate of 782 lbs/inch. If you're serious about tuning your ride, these springs are worth checking out.

Why was Swift Springs Formed?

Swift Springs was founded in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan as a motorsports division of Tokyo Hatsujo Manufacturing Co, Ltd., which has been leading the spring industry since 1924. Swift Springs was established to demonstrate their superior engineering by developing the next generation of sport suspension coilover springs. The scope of the project was to surpass the best of any other brand or design in the market by making the springs ultra-durable and lightweight, while still being affordable.

World-Class Racing Experience

Since its inception, Swift Springs has been led by former racer and suspension expert Kei Yokota and the chief engineer Yasu Saito. Their first-hand experience and involvement within the race industry have propelled Swift Springs through the ranks of the world’s most prestigious races. Swift quickly became the most recognized and respected name in performance coil springs in motorsports all around the globe.

The brand’s impressive motor racing history started in 1998 with a Nissan Skyline GT-R in the Super Taikyu Endurance championship series in Japan. Swift Springs moved on to support championship teams in the 24 Hours Nurburgring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, D-1 World Grand Prix, F3, Formula Toyota, the Super Taikyu series, and many other world-class races. In 2004, Team Goh’s Audi R8 won first place with Swift Springs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

All Springs are not Created Equal

All coilover spring manufacturers claim to have four factors: lightest in weight, largest amount of stroke, most consistent spring rate, and highest durability against loss of spring height. Only the innovative and revolutionary Swift Springs achieve the fifth factor which is having the fastest reaction speed possible to gain compliance on road surface conditions. While diameters and spring rates may be similar across several brands, the spring manufacturing process is what determines exactly how well they will perform. To achieve all five factors, Swift Springs developed a proprietary steel alloy "HS5.TW", as well as a patented winding method that no other coilover manufacturer can duplicate.

Swift Springs provide drivers with a difference that they can feel and several racing benefits. Swift Springs use a very strong alloy, which means they can use a thinner diameter of wire. In turn, the thinner wire is much lighter and extremely vital given it is unsprung weight. Thinner wire also means that there is more gap between the coils with more “stroke” for the spring. This gives the spring more travel and does not “bottom” as early as thicker wire springs. Lastly, Swift Springs prove to be incredibly consistent and reliable. At the end of one year of racing, Swift Springs are typically within .5-1.0 percent of the rate they were when they just came out of the box.
