Swift Springs Sport Springs Audi S4 2009-2016 for 2009-2016 Audi S4 4X923R | Vivid Racing

If you're looking to give your Audi S4 from 2009 to 2016 a little something extra, let me tell you about the Swift Sport Springs. These aren't just your run-of-the-mill lowering springs; they’re designed with a purpose. Swift didn’t just chop the ride height and call it a day. They had three goals in mind: keep that smooth ride you love, improve handling, and drop the height just enough to look good while still being functional.

  • Maintain or improve a smooth, comfortable ride
  • Increase handling by reducing body roll and squat
  • Lower the vehicle without exceeding usable stroke limits

Now, if you've ever tried lowering springs before, you probably know the struggle. Many brands focus more on looks than performance, leading to a bumpy ride and reduced traction. That’s a no-go for anyone who actually enjoys driving. Swift took a different route by developing their own H5S.TW material and a unique manufacturing process that strikes a balance between comfort and performance.

What’s cool about these springs is their design—with fewer coils, they reduce unsprung mass and eliminate coil bind, which means you get more usable stroke. This results in better handling and a smoother ride. The H5S.TW material reacts quickly to changes in the road, so while other springs might bounce around on rough surfaces, these will adapt and keep you grounded.

And let’s not forget about bump rubber. It’s a crucial part of modern suspension systems, helping to prevent shocks from bottoming out. Swift keeps this in mind during their design process, making sure the springs work efficiently with your car’s suspension.

Each set of Swift Sport Springs is tailored to the specific characteristics of the Audi S4. So, whether you're cruising around town or hitting the track, you can expect that signature Audi comfort combined with a sportier feel.

Features:
  • Spring Rate Front: 7.2 kg/mm
  • Spring Rate Rear: 3.5 kg/mm

Why was Swift Springs Formed?

Swift Springs was founded in 1997 in Tokyo, Japan as a motorsports division of Tokyo Hatsujo Manufacturing Co, Ltd., which has been leading the spring industry since 1924. Swift Springs was established to demonstrate their superior engineering by developing the next generation of sport suspension coilover springs. The scope of the project was to surpass the best of any other brand or design in the market by making the springs ultra-durable and lightweight, while still being affordable.

World-Class Racing Experience

Since its inception, Swift Springs has been led by former racer and suspension expert Kei Yokota and the chief engineer Yasu Saito. Their first-hand experience and involvement within the race industry have propelled Swift Springs through the ranks of the world’s most prestigious races. Swift quickly became the most recognized and respected name in performance coil springs in motorsports all around the globe.

The brand’s impressive motor racing history started in 1998 with a Nissan Skyline GT-R in the Super Taikyu Endurance championship series in Japan. Swift Springs moved on to support championship teams in the 24 Hours Nurburgring, 24 Hours of Le Mans, D-1 World Grand Prix, F3, Formula Toyota, the Super Taikyu series, and many other world-class races. In 2004, Team Goh’s Audi R8 won first place with Swift Springs at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

All Springs are not Created Equal

All coilover spring manufacturers claim to have four factors: lightest in weight, largest amount of stroke, most consistent spring rate, and highest durability against loss of spring height. Only the innovative and revolutionary Swift Springs achieve the fifth factor which is having the fastest reaction speed possible to gain compliance on road surface conditions. While diameters and spring rates may be similar across several brands, the spring manufacturing process is what determines exactly how well they will perform. To achieve all five factors, Swift Springs developed a proprietary steel alloy "HS5.TW", as well as a patented winding method that no other coilover manufacturer can duplicate.

Swift Springs provide drivers with a difference that they can feel and several racing benefits. Swift Springs use a very strong alloy, which means they can use a thinner diameter of wire. In turn, the thinner wire is much lighter and extremely vital given it is unsprung weight. Thinner wire also means that there is more gap between the coils with more “stroke” for the spring. This gives the spring more travel and does not “bottom” as early as thicker wire springs. Lastly, Swift Springs prove to be incredibly consistent and reliable. At the end of one year of racing, Swift Springs are typically within .5-1.0 percent of the rate they were when they just came out of the box.
