You’ll get a fully-assembled short-block that comes with a 4.00" stroke crankshaft, and you can choose between a 24X or 58X reluctor wheel based on your setup.
When it comes to pistons, you’ve got options. Pick from Wiseco, CP Pistons, Diamond Racing, or Mahle. All of these use a tough 2618 forging and come with a proprietary ring set, designed to fit into a 4.03" bore unless you specify otherwise. And if you’re dreaming of a custom build, we’ve got your back with various connecting rods and crankshafts to match whatever you’re aiming for.
Now, if you’re planning to run some serious nitrous or boost, consider upgrading to the 1/2" head studs. This upgrade includes ARP hardware and the necessary machine work, and it’s a solid choice if you want to push your engine to the limit. Plus, the PRC aftermarket casting cylinder heads come prepped with the larger bolt holes you’ll need for those head studs.
For those who want a complete package, we also offer turn-key long-blocks. These come with your choice of oil pan, intake manifold, throttle body—you name it. Want to customize? The Gen III block we use is similar to the LS1/LS6, so it’ll fit right in with all the necessary LS1 covers, gaskets, and components. Just a heads-up, though: it uses LS2/LS3 cylinder head bolts. Build time can vary depending on parts availability, so don’t hesitate to reach out for more info.
One of the best things about our TSP engines? They come with 12 quarts of break-in oil at no extra charge. Proper break-in is crucial for your engine, helping ensure the rings seal correctly against the cylinder walls right from the start. A lot of off-the-shelf oils don’t have the ZDDP additives you need for a new engine, so we want to make sure you get it right. Once you’ve completed the break-in, we recommend switching to Driven Racing oil, specifically the HR2 conventional non-synthetic.
