If you're looking to give your ride a serious boost, check out the Texas Speed & Performance resleeved short-blocks. These aren’t just any run-of-the-mill engines; they’re built using a brand-new Gen 4 aluminum block that’s been fitted with Darton dry sleeves. Trust me, these sleeves pack a punch with their higher tensile strength compared to the standard GM sleeves. Plus, they’re thicker, which means you’re getting a more durable setup right out of the gate.

When you order one of these short-blocks, you’ll get a fully assembled unit featuring either a 4.10” or 4.125” stroke crankshaft. You also get to choose between a 24x or 58x reluctor wheel, which is pretty handy depending on your setup. Just a heads up, if you’re planning to add any serious power, stick to a maximum bore size of 4.125”. It’s a good rule of thumb for keeping everything in check.

Now, let’s talk pistons. You can pick from a variety of Wiseco options, ranging from 4.005” to 4.185” bore sizes. All these pistons are made from 2618 forgings and come with lowered ring lands, making them perfect for nitrous or boost applications if you’re feeling adventurous. If you’re thinking about running a power-adder, I highly recommend the 4.00” stroke engine. It offers a thicker piston crown, which is crucial if you’re going to push it beyond 12 psi of boost or a 200 HP shot of nitrous.

If you're serious about cranking up the nitrous or boost, consider upgrading to 1/2" head studs. This upgrade includes ARP hardware and the necessary machine work, and it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to push their engine to the limit. And if you’re sticking with the standard setup, the PRC cathedral-port 247cc heads come with everything you need, including stainless steel valves and a dual valve spring kit.

When it comes to rocker arms, make sure you pick the right set for your cylinder heads. The PRC 247cc heads need an LS1-style rocker arm set, while the LS3 and LS7 heads require their respective sets. We also offer upgraded GM rocker arm sets that include a trunion upgrade kit, which is a must-have since factory rocker arms can be a bit unreliable with aftermarket camshafts.

For those of you working with a dry-sump setup, we’ve got you covered. You can opt for a long-snout crankshaft designed for factory GM dry-sump oiling. If you choose this route, we’ll swap in a GM LS7-specific oil pump and take care of all the necessary dry-sump components. Just keep in mind that a factory GM dry-sump block doesn’t have a provision for an oil dipstick tube, so we won’t tap the block for one if you go this way.

Every TSP engine includes 12 quarts of break-in oil at no extra cost. This isn’t just a nice touch; it’s essential for proper ring sealing and break-in. Most off-the-shelf oils don’t have the right ZDDP additives for a new engine, and we want to make sure your setup gets the best start possible. Once you’ve broken it in, we recommend using Driven Racing oil, specifically the HR2 conventional non-synthetic.
