If you’re looking to give your LS engine a serious boost in both sound and performance, the TSP B.F.D. "Chop Monster" camshaft is worth a good look. With specs like 228/232 duration and lift figures of .629"/.600", this cam is designed to unleash some serious chop. Ground on a 108 LSA, it’s not just about the noise; it’s about delivering power across the entire RPM range. This cam isn’t just a pretty face—it’s engineered to make your engine roar like a beast.

Now, I’ve seen this cam in action, especially thanks to Zac Mertens, aka "The Chop King" from Hoonigan. Trust me, when he says it’s the most savage chop you can get for your 5.3, 5.7, or even 6.0 LS engines, he’s not exaggerating. It’s got enough grunt to rattle the windows, and if you’ve got a big inch stroker LS, you’re in for a treat.

Here’s the deal: this cam works best with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 or higher, so make sure your setup can handle it. You’ll want to pair it with some TSP/PAC dual valve springs to keep everything in check. And don’t forget about the stall converter—aim for something around 3200 RPM or more to really feel the difference. Upgrading your rear gear to at least 3.23 will also help you get the most out of this cam. Operating between 2000 and 6500 RPM, you can expect an estimated power increase of around 50-55 horsepower. Just a heads up, if you’re running a 5.3, you might notice a bit of surging at lower RPMs, but with the right tune, you can still daily drive it.
