If you're looking to give your LS engine a serious attitude adjustment, the TSP B.F.D. "Chop Monster" camshaft is where it’s at. This isn’t just another cam; it’s designed to deliver some of the most savage chops you can imagine, thanks to its specs of 233/240 and lift numbers of .629/.600. Ground on a 108 LSA, this cam is engineered for those who want to feel the power throughout the entire RPM range.

Now, I’ve seen Zac Mertens, aka "The Chop King," put this cam to the test with Hoonigan, and let me tell you—it’s not just for show. It’s got enough grunt to shake the ground beneath you. Whether you’re pushing a 5.3, 5.7, or even a 6.2, this camshaft is going to make your ride sound like a beast. Seriously, it’s the nastiest sound you can get into your LS setup.

What to expect:

  • Best suited for engines like the 5.7 and 6.0.
  • Want to really get the most out of it? Aim for a compression ratio of at least 10.5:1.
  • You’ll need TSP Dual .660 valve springs to keep everything in check.
  • A proper aftermarket stall converter is a must—3600 RPM or more.
  • Upgrade your rear gear to at least 3.42 to match the cam's demands.
  • Operating range? This baby thrives between 2300 and 7000 RPM.
  • Expect a power increase of 65+ HP, which is nothing to scoff at.
  • It’ll fit stock untouched heads without any piston to valve clearance issues, but it’s always smart to double-check.
  • Daily driving is doable with the right tuning, especially in automatics, but manuals might need a bit more finesse.
