If you're looking to transform your Gen 5 LT 5.3 into a beastly powerhouse, the TSP B.F.D. "Chop Monster" L83 V2 Camshaft is your ticket to an aggressive sound and serious performance gains. Designed in collaboration with Zac Mertens, known as "The Chop King" at Hoonigan, this cam is engineered to deliver the most savage chop imaginable while maximizing power throughout the RPM range.

Performance Features

  • Engine Compatibility: Best suited for Gen 5 L83 5.3 engines.
  • Compression Ratio: Ideally 11.1:1 or higher for optimal performance.
  • Recommended Springs: TSP/PAC Dual .660 LT Valve Spring Kit or Manton Conical Valve Springs.
  • Stall Converter: An aftermarket stall converter rated at 3000 RPM or higher is required.
  • Operating RPM Range: 2000 to 6500 RPM, perfect for both street and track use.
  • Estimated Power Increase: Gain 60+ HP with proper installation and tuning.
  • Drivability: Daily driveable with the right torque converter and tuning adjustments.

Important Notes

  • This camshaft does not maintain factory AFM/DOD functionality, so a DOD/AFM delete kit will be necessary.
  • Variable Valve Timing (VVT) must be locked out using a phaser lockout kit for all TSP LT camshafts.
  • For best results, we recommend pairing this cam with our TSP .660" dual spring kit featuring PAC springs and titanium retainers, along with TSP hardened chromoly pushrods.
  • This camshaft is intended for competition use only and is not legal for road use.
