One of the standout features is the mandrel-bent design. This isn’t just marketing fluff; it really makes a difference in flow and performance. You’ll notice it when you step on the gas. Plus, the tubing is a solid 2.0 mm thick—definitely thicker than what a lot of competitors offer, which means you’re getting something that’s not just going to crumple under pressure.
These headers come with a 3" merge-style collector that includes a welded O2 bung, so you won't have to worry about fitting issues down the line. Installation is straightforward, and they even throw in new GM gaskets and exhaust clamps, along with O2 sensor extension harnesses. If you opt for the high-flow catted X-pipe, you're really setting yourself up for a sweet sound and improved performance.
Now, a quick heads-up: these headers are for competition use only, so don’t expect to cruise them down the highway legally. If you’ve got a convertible, you’ll need to make some extra modifications for a proper fit. Also, if you’re rolling with a ZL1, be prepared to tweak those differential cooler lines a bit. And just a note on the 2" headers—they can be a bit snug around the steering shaft if you’ve got electric power steering. Some folks have had to shift the engine a tad or remove the rubber boot to get everything lined up just right. If that sounds like a hassle, the 1-7/8" headers might be your best bet.
