TTE280T UPGRADE TURBOCHARGER 1. 8T VAG
Introducing our TTE280T performance turbocharger for the 1. 8T VAG Transverse installation. Offering 280+PS with near Plug & Play fitment.
Engineered & Enhanced
To produce a TTE280 K03 hybrid upgrade turbocharger we use a much larger BorgWarner 2283 billet compressor wheel, chosen because it is highly efficient and features BorgWarner Extended tip technology, creating an extremely high flow for comparative size, but giving a compressor map that's very wide. We CNC Re-Profile the compressor cover to an optimised tolerance to ensure maximum compressor efficiency is given.
The intake to the compressor wheel is CNC milled from billet to offer a smooth the transition from the intake pipework to the larger compressor to lower turbulence and maximise velocity.
We CNC re-profile the exhaust turbine housing to accept a larger TTE 9 BLADE turbine and shaft for lower exhaust backpressure.
Special profile 360 deg high-performance motorsport journal bearing is fitted, to remain durable at higher loads with no loss in transient response. The actuator used is an uprated sprung OE unit, fitted with our reinforced clamps for trouble-free operation. This also can also be modified/set to customer needs and specifications if needed.
Equilibrium
Precisely balancing our turbochargers is a key critical factor to become a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequent great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving our balance standards. Firstly parts are balanced at slow speeds up to 2800RPM in multiple planes using our single parts machine, then components are assembled and then the CHRA are dynamically balanced, but this time depending on the application at up to 250,000 RPM in multiple planes using our in house VSR machine to acquire the ultimate equilibrium, to a standard far higher than OEM. Each turbocharger is supplied with a serial numbered balance test result document.
