UMI Performance 225lb Spring -2" to -3" Rear Coilover Kit Quick Performance Bolt In GM G-Body 1978-1988 3054-3 | Vivid Racing

UMI's bolt-in rear coilover bracket kit is a complete mounting solution for your Quick Performance axle in your 1978-1988 GM G-Body. This bracket features a multi-position design to allow further fine tuning of ride height and shock location (±¾"). In addition to shock location adjustability, the UMI 3054 features five positions of trailing arm location adjustment to match the Quick Performance adjustable lower control arm brackets. Minor drilling is required.

Application Guide:

Drag Racing - 110lb Spring
  • Drag Racing applications are available with a 110lb spring in conjunction with the -2" to -3" ride height or the -1" to +1" ride height. This package is best utilized on a lightened car. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.
Street Performance - 150lb Spring
  • Street applications are available with a 150lb spring in conjunction with the -2" to -3" ride height or the -1" to +1" ride height. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.
AutoX / Road Racing - 225 Spring
  • AutoX / Road Racing applications are available with a 225lb spring in conjunction with the -2" to -3" ride height. We recommend taking measurements for a fitment based on the desired ride height and tire combination.

Drag Racing Application
  • 110lb Spring -2" to -3" Ride Height(3054-1)
  • 110lb Spring -1" to +1" Ride Height (3054-4)
Street Application
  • 150lb Spring -2" to -3" Ride Height(3054-2)

AutoX Application
  • 225lb Spring -2" to -3" Ride Height (3054-3)
Spanner Wrench & Thrust Bearing Kit: Spanner wrench tool is used to adjust vehicle height while shock stays mounted. This wrench is needed to make height adjustments. The thrust bearing kit is designed to be placed between the spring and the spring seat attached to the shock. This makes for easier adjustments since the spring seat is rotating on a bearing. This kit is recommended for easier adjustments but is not needed to complete the installation. We do not recommend adjusting height on the car without a thrust bearing kit.

Installation & Fitment Notes:
  • UMI recommends installing the 3054 bracket kit, mocking up the ride height as desired, then purchasing the correct length shocks.
  • Rear shocks may not clear all exhaust systems. UMI is not responsible for exhaust clearance issues.
  • These brackets are engineered specifically to pair with Quick Performance adjustable lower control arm brackets. The 3054 will also fit on the Quick Performance single hole non-adjustable bracket but will not have the ability to adjust the lower control arms.

UMI Performance warrants all UMI Performance products for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase.

This warranty is valid against defects in materials and workmanship for the two (2) year warranty period. It is not valid against defect resulting from, but not limited to:
    Misuse and/or abuse, neglect or accident.
    Exceeding the item(s) design limits.
    Improper installation.
    Acts of God, including lightning, floods, earthquakes, fire or high winds.
    Damage in handling, including damage encountered during shipment.
This warranty is valid for the original purchaser of the UMI Product. Warranty is not transferable or valid for second ownership.

This warranty shall be considered void if the warranted product is in any way altered, adjusted, tampered with or defaced.

The two (2) year warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear (the gradual deterioration of an asset which results naturally from use and/or age, i.e. bearings, bushings, etc.).

Non UMI manufactured parts are not covered or valid under this UMI Performance warranty.

UMI Performance cannot guarantee compatibility or performance of its products with other components used in conjunction with UMI Performance products.

UMI Performance cannot assume responsibility for any damages to UMI Products nor for claims for personal injury or property damage resulting from the use of UMI Performance's products or the improper operation thereof or consequential damages arising from the products or use of the products

.UMI Performance two (2) year warranty excludes incidental charges incurred by the end user in the event of breakage (towing, labor, installation, etc.). By their very nature, competition suspension parts are continuously expected to exceed to their limits (either by race or road use). UMI suspension components are designed to withstand intense race conditions, although it is impossible to control the quality of installation or the varying conditions in which they are used.

This warranty supersedes all other warranties and may only be modified by statement in writing, signed by UMI Performance owners/principals.

All Warranties implied by law, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby limited to the warranty period herein and shall expire at the end of such period.
