What is Vogtland Suspension?

Vogtland Suspension was founded in 1908 by Bernhard Vogtland in Hagen-Hohenlimburg Germany. Today, more than 110 years later, the German brand is one of the biggest spring manufacturers in Europe, and has since branched out into the North American market with Vogtland N.A.

Vogtland develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes premium automotive accessories all around the globe. The company’s primary focus is developing top-grade suspension products, such as lowering springs, sport suspension kits, and height-adjustable kits. All Vogtland products are crafted at its plant headquarters in Hagen, Germany. Vogtland Suspension’s North America operations have established the brand as a leading supplier to the NASCAR racing circuit and INDY car series with its cutting-edge “VVS” spring technology.

Why Choose Vogtland Suspension?

Vogtland Suspension’s engineers fine-tune each component to achieve the perfect harmony between the driver, the vehicle, and the road. The company utilizes only the most advanced CAD-CAM technologies, high-tech CNC winding processes, high-strength alloys, and exceptional corrosion protection. Vogtland prides itself on designing and building suspension solutions that meet and exceed expectations of even the most demanding performance vehicles. With an emphasis on reliability and longevity, Vogtland never cuts corners; all of its parts are built to offer consistency in extreme driving environments.

Vogtland Suspension’s quality management systems are all in line with ISO/TS 16949 and certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 standards. These are supported internally by engineering, testing capabilities, and training programs to maintain the highest quality assurance standards.

The Vogtland Production Process

Vogtland’s R&D and spring manufacturing process starts with research into the design of OE suspension parts. Ride heights, and spring rates and lengths are all carefully measured to determine the new springs’ optimal configuration. Vogtland uses only the highest quality spring steel available to produce the new suspension system and tests all raw materials to ensure they meet stringent guidelines.

All Vogtland sport springs are manufactured using special oil-tempered steels of high tensile strength chrome-silicon (CrSi) and chrome-silicone-vanadium (CrSiV) alloys using a cold coiling procedure. The result is reduced spring weight with high material strength, which consequently reduces the unsprung weight of the vehicle and optimizes handling attributes.
