Get your Nissan 400Z cranking out more horsepower and torque with The Racechip GTS Black Tuning Box Kit. This tuning box kit plugs into the factory boost and manifold pressure sensors to give you a huge gain in power over stock. Even better... These are warranty safe! The plugs are designed to be a direct OEM connection that goes in between the factory connectors. This allows for easy installation and removal as necessary. No cutting or splicing wires like those other piggybacks. Performance is increased by changing the signal of those factory sensors to help deliver more boost pressure. The ECU will automatically adjust for fuel and timing. With 7 different modes, you can run on easy street or whip your friends butt depending on the level of octane in your vehicle. Of course while they lose their warranty from an ECU Flash or cutting into wires, you just unplug and keep getting that Nissan service done. The kit can be controlled by our bluetooth app or you can manually change it with the buttons located on the box itself. Having logged thousands of miles on the Z for road and track use, this is the number 1 modification you need to get for your Nissan Z.
The Nissan Z R&D was done here in Arizona using our Mustang All Wheel Drive dyno. The Mustang dyno replicates as close to a rolling road as possible compared to other dynomometer. Also known as the "heart breaker", we typically see a drivetrain loss of 15-20% depending on vehicle and whether we are running the car in 2wd or 4wd. The 400Z was running a full tank of 91 octane on a cool 65F weather day. After dialing in the tuning box kit, we made a very impressive 396 rear wheel horsepower and 488 ft/lbs of torque. You can see at 4100rpm we deliver a neck breaking increase of about 100 rear wheel horsepower and nearly 120 ft/lbs of torque. All of this while running the stock restrictive exhaust system and intakes. That is some serious plug and play horsepower!
This kit will also work on the Nissan Z Nismo edition. However this vehicle already has increased horsepower stock over the standard Z so gains are only about 30hp.

With manufactures trying to increase fuel economy by adding forced induction to vehicles that previously had large displacement engines, the ability to tune them further is even more prevalent now. However there are 2 main issues with tuning these newer vehicles. The manufactures have gotten very particular about having their ECUs accessed to be tuned. These "anti tuning" features make it hard to read and write the ECU via the OBDII port. Some ECUs can be removed and flashed on the bench once the case is open. This is an immediate flag to the dealer which ultimately will void your power train warranty if a situation arose. This is where the Racechip Tuning Box Kits come into play over the competition.
Engineered for boosted cars, these vehicle specific plug and play kits are designed to easily be installed and uninstalled as needed. The harnesses feature OEM plugs that attach to necessary sensors where the pre-mapped tuning box gives your vehicle huge amount of performance gains. Unlike other "piggyback" solutions, these use high quality connections, wires, and casing that are designed to be engine mounted for longevity to the elements.
Each Tuning Box Kit has been engineered and tested to work in even the most extreme environments of altitude, temperature, and driving conditions. If you have any questions in regards to the Racechip Tuning Box Kit for the Nissan Z, please contact one of our Performance Specialists.

RaceChip started in 2008, when founder Manuel Götz wanted to take his passion for automobiles to the next level. They initially operated and sold their tuning products within Europe, but in 2010 they expanding their dealer network to offer their products globally.
Today, RaceChip is one of the biggest and most well-known aftermarket tuning companies in the world. Their focus on building quality tuning systems which increase horsepower without sacraficing reliability has allowed them to serve hundreds of thousands of customers all over the world.
Why Choose RaceChip? As you probably know, there are a lot of tuning companies within the automotive aftermarket. Some are small niche tuners who specialize in tuning specific platforms, such as Ford EcoBoost, and some tuning companies offer products for nearly everything. RaceChip is one of the companies with a very broad product catalog.
Quality of Tune FileHow much time is spent developing a tune file or tuning product makes a massive difference. On the surface, it may seem like advancing ignition timing and optimizing air/fuel ratios, but creating a quality tuning product is much deeper than that. RaceChip tuning doesn’t simply turn everything to the max - it optimizes intelligently within your engine’s design limits.
Customer ServiceWhen you’re installing aftermarket tuning products in your vehicle, the last thing you want is an issue during installation without a clear way to solve the problem. RaceChip provides easy-to-understand instructions with every RaceChip tuning box. If you run into an issue during install, RaceChip can help you with their knowledgeable customer service team.
Bluetooth ConnectivityUnlike most tuning solutions, RaceChip tuning boxes allow you to connect your smartphone to the tuning box to make changes. Straight out of the box you’re able to switch between three performance levels: Efficiency, Sport, and Race. If you need a customized tuning file, RaceChip can provide a modified tuning file which you can install on the tuning box.
Tuning Box vs ECU TuningWhat makes RaceChip special compared to many other tuning companies is the type of products they offer. Many tuning companies offer ECU flashes AND tuning boxes, but RaceChip offers just tuning boxes.
A “tuning box” works by capturing sensor outputs such as MAF, Oxygen Sensors, TPS, Ignition, etc, and modifying the signal before the vehicle’s ECU receives the signal. With this type of system, your OEM ECU is left completely stock.
Unlike many tuning boxes on the market, RaceChip tuning boxes are intelligent. They work more like small computers and modify sensor signals in real time, compared to traditional tuning boxes which don’t modify the signals in real time.
Compared to ECU flashing, installing a tuning box is very easy and does not require overwriting your OEM ECU with a new file. With a “plug and play” design, it’s easy to uninstall a tuning box without a trace of it ever being installed on the vehicle.
