Works Bell is the inventor and originator of the world-renowned Rapfix series of quick releases. The Rapfix I was just the beginning, however, as the company has since redesigned it and now offers the new and improved Rapfix II. This new lineup features lock-back technology and cold-forged aluminum alloy construction. The Rapfix II is quite honestly the finest steering wheel quick release system in the world.
The Works Bell Rapfix II is the original ball lock quick release, invented and patented by Works Bell, which makes for quick and easy removal. It is made entirely in Japan and has spawned the entire craze of quick release systems in the tuner car community. The Rapfix II is pre-machined with mounting holes to suit Momo, Nardi, and Sparco bolt pattern steering wheels.
The Rapfix II includes built-in hidden terminals for your vehicle’s horn, and is built with precise tolerances and high-quality materials that you only find in genuine Works Bell products from Japan. It features a plug and socket crafted from high-strength A506, which is then heat-treated to H34 standards to increase its yield strength. Finally, it is cold-forged with SUS304 stainless steel springs, SUJ ball bearings, and SUS XM7 stainless steel cap screws. This quality forged construction makes it far stronger than its machined counterfeits and knock-off products. It has been track tested and proven by the top Japanese racecar drivers.
The Rapfix Racing quick release is designed for competition cars where the quick release is welded to the steering column shaft. Engineered and precision manufactured in Works Bells state-of-the-art production facilities in Nagano Japan, by highly skilled fabricators and engineers, the Rapfix Racing can be used with compatible three-hole and six-bolt competition steering wheels. It was specially developed as a steering wheel quick release for formula cars such as Indy Racing League, Formula Ford, and other open-wheel formulas; however, some teams also use it in drag racing and drift cars.
