Borgeson Power Steering Conversion Kit. for 1949-1951 Ford Full Size Cars - 999062

This power steering box is designed to replace the original manual box via a bracket which bolts to both the original frame and the new steering box. Our special pitman arm allows it to connect to either the original steering linkage or the highly recommended and vastly improved tie rod and idler arm conversion offered by Fatman Fabrications. The new box can be connected to either an aftermarket steering column, or the original steering column, including the shift levers, can be shortened to fit this box by using our optional Column Saver kit #990044. Conventional GM or Ford power steering pumps will typically provide the proper 900-1100 psi fluid and are easily connected with an optional hose kit. NOTE: Not for use with a Flathead engine.

Kit consists of a specially made Borgeson reverse rotation gearbox in a 14:1 ratio paired with a Fatman Fabrications custom fabricated bracket and pitman arm. Factory original steering column can be used with the conversion but will need to be shortened and adapted to the steering box. 3-YEAR POWER STEERING GEAR & PUMP LIMITED WARRANTY

BORGESON will repair or replace, at our option, any steering gear or pump found to be defective in either material or workmanship for 3 full years from purchase date. Any steering gear or pump that has been abused, altered, or incorrectly installed is not covered under this warranty. Any steering gear or pump used in competition is excluded from this warranty. BORGESON'S sole remedy shall be repair or replacement, no monetary refund will be granted. This limited warranty applies to any BORGESON steering gear or pump, which, after careful inspection by BORGESON, is found to be defective in materials or workmanship. BORGESON will not be liable for personal or property damage caused by misuse of any product we sell.

THE WARRANTY HEREIN CONTAINED IS MADE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. BORGESON DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE REPLACEMENT STEERING ASSEMBLIES OR THEIR COMPONENTS ARE MERCHANTABLE OR FIT ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN. 5-Year 50,000 Mile Truck Steering Shaft Assembly LIMITED WARRANTY
