The Girodisc A1-111 is engineered as a direct replacement for the factory rotors on the Ferrari 458 Italia, offering a performance-oriented solution that prioritizes weight savings and thermal efficiency. This rotor is designed to work with brake pads featuring an annulus (pad swept area) of 66mm or less, ensuring optimal performance without the added weight of the original CCM rotors.

Construction and Design

Each rotor is meticulously crafted with a central hat section made from U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The rotor disc itself is constructed from Girodisc's proprietary cast iron, which is poured and machined entirely in-house in the USA. This attention to detail guarantees a high-quality product that meets the demands of both street and track use.

Cooling Technology

The Girodisc A1-111 features a curved vane design, a technology derived from racing applications, which acts as a centrifugal pump to enhance airflow through the disc. This design promotes better cooling and minimizes brake fade during high-performance driving scenarios.

Floating Mount System

Utilizing a floating mount system, the rotor is secured with 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, engineered to Girodisc’s specifications and cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. This system allows for axial and radial float between the hat and disc, accommodating thermal expansion and ensuring that the rotor self-centers between the brake pads. The use of anti-noise spring washers prevents rattling and noise during cold operation, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Maintenance and Replacement

Once installed, the Girodisc A1-111 rotors can be easily replaced when necessary, allowing for straightforward maintenance without the need for a complete rotor replacement system.

Purchaser acknowledges the Product is for off-road racing use only. The nature of off road racing involves significant risk, and the conditions under which the Product is used and types of use of the Product are many depending on factors such as installation and use. Due to the inherent risk of the activity in which the Product is used, the Purchaser understands and agrees the Seller provides a limited warranty for the Product, specifically, the warranty is limited to the following specification: less than .0015” runout and less than .0003”disc thickness variation.

If Purchaser provides Seller with written notice of any condition inconsistent with the specification set forth above on or before six (6) months from the date of delivery and complies with the return requirements set forth in Section 6, then Seller will, at its election either:
  • Provide a replacement Product, or
  • Refund the purchase price.
This limited warranty does not cover, and Seller will not pay for, or provide, labor or materials that which may be necessary to remove a Product or install a replacement Product. This warranty is limited to the exchange of the Product or return of the purchase price.
