Now, let’s talk materials. The central hat section is crafted from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, which is not just light but also super strong. The disc itself is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured and machined right here in the USA. This isn’t just any rotor; it features a curved vane design that’s been developed through racing to act like a centrifugal pump, pushing cooling air through the disc. That means better heat dissipation and less fade during those spirited drives.

The floating mount system is where things get really interesting. It uses 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, all manufactured in-house to our specifications and cadmium plated for durability against corrosion. These pins handle the load during braking while allowing for some axial and radial float between the hat and the disc. Plus, they’re secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers, so you know they’re built to last. To keep things quiet when you first start using them, we’ve included anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side. This clever little feature lets the rotor expand with heat but stops any annoying rattles, ensuring a smooth, quiet ride. And, thanks to the floating design, the rotor will self-center between the pads, which is a nice touch.

When it’s time to replace the rotors, it’s a breeze—just swap out the cast iron rotor, and you’re back in business.

Purchaser acknowledges the Product is for off-road racing use only. The nature of off road racing involves significant risk, and the conditions under which the Product is used and types of use of the Product are many depending on factors such as installation and use. Due to the inherent risk of the activity in which the Product is used, the Purchaser understands and agrees the Seller provides a limited warranty for the Product, specifically, the warranty is limited to the following specification: less than .0015” runout and less than .0003”disc thickness variation.

If Purchaser provides Seller with written notice of any condition inconsistent with the specification set forth above on or before six (6) months from the date of delivery and complies with the return requirements set forth in Section 6, then Seller will, at its election either:
  • Provide a replacement Product, or
  • Refund the purchase price.
This limited warranty does not cover, and Seller will not pay for, or provide, labor or materials that which may be necessary to remove a Product or install a replacement Product. This warranty is limited to the exchange of the Product or return of the purchase price.
