Girodisc A2-126 Rear 350mm 2-Piece Rotor

The Girodisc A2-126 is engineered as a direct replacement for the OE disc on Porsche 997.2 GT3, GT3 RS, and GT2 models produced between 2010 and 2011, as well as the 2007-2009 GT2 and GT3. This rotor is designed to integrate seamlessly with factory calipers, requiring no modifications and allowing the use of unmodified factory pads. This ensures that the original brake bias and ABS functionality are maintained, making it an ideal choice for those looking to enhance braking performance without the complexities of a big brake kit.

Construction and Design

The central hat of the Girodisc rotor is crafted from high-grade U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aluminum, known for its lightweight and strength. The rotor itself is manufactured from Girodisc's proprietary cast iron, poured and machined in-house in the USA. This ensures consistent quality and performance.

Cooling and Performance Features

The rotor features a sophisticated curved vane design, originally developed for racing applications. This design acts as a centrifugal pump, effectively directing cooling air through the rotor to enhance heat dissipation during high-performance driving conditions.

Floating Mount System

The A2-126 utilizes a floating mount system that incorporates 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, specifically manufactured to Girodisc's standards and cadmium plated for superior corrosion resistance. These pins are designed to handle the loads generated during braking while allowing for axial and radial movement between the rotor and hat. This design minimizes noise and enhances performance by allowing the rotor to self-center between the brake pads.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation of the Girodisc A2-126 is straightforward, bolting directly to the vehicle without the need for modifications. When it comes time to replace the rotor, simply swap out the cast iron rotor, maintaining the integrity of the system.

Purchaser acknowledges the Product is for off-road racing use only. The nature of off road racing involves significant risk, and the conditions under which the Product is used and types of use of the Product are many depending on factors such as installation and use. Due to the inherent risk of the activity in which the Product is used, the Purchaser understands and agrees the Seller provides a limited warranty for the Product, specifically, the warranty is limited to the following specification: less than .0015” runout and less than .0003”disc thickness variation.

If Purchaser provides Seller with written notice of any condition inconsistent with the specification set forth above on or before six (6) months from the date of delivery and complies with the return requirements set forth in Section 6, then Seller will, at its election either:
  • Provide a replacement Product, or
  • Refund the purchase price.
This limited warranty does not cover, and Seller will not pay for, or provide, labor or materials that which may be necessary to remove a Product or install a replacement Product. This warranty is limited to the exchange of the Product or return of the purchase price.
