What really sets the Girodisc rotors apart is their construction. The central hat is crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, sourced right here in the U.S. That’s some serious quality. The rotor itself is made from Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron, also poured and machined in-house in the USA. This isn’t just any rotor; it features a curved vane design that’s been developed through racing. It works like a centrifugal pump, effectively pushing cooling air through the disc to keep things from heating up too much during hard stops.

One of the standout features is the floating mount system. It uses either 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, all made in the USA to Girodisc's exact specs and cadmium plated for durability against corrosion. These pins handle the load from braking while allowing for axial and radial float between the hat and the disc. Plus, they’re secured with grade 12 cap screws and hardened washers, so you know they’re not going anywhere. To keep things quiet when you first start driving, Girodisc has added anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side. This clever touch allows the rotor to expand with heat without rattling or making noise, and it helps the rotor self-center between the pads.

Purchaser acknowledges the Product is for off-road racing use only. The nature of off road racing involves significant risk, and the conditions under which the Product is used and types of use of the Product are many depending on factors such as installation and use. Due to the inherent risk of the activity in which the Product is used, the Purchaser understands and agrees the Seller provides a limited warranty for the Product, specifically, the warranty is limited to the following specification: less than .0015” runout and less than .0003”disc thickness variation.

If Purchaser provides Seller with written notice of any condition inconsistent with the specification set forth above on or before six (6) months from the date of delivery and complies with the return requirements set forth in Section 6, then Seller will, at its election either:
  • Provide a replacement Product, or
  • Refund the purchase price.
This limited warranty does not cover, and Seller will not pay for, or provide, labor or materials that which may be necessary to remove a Product or install a replacement Product. This warranty is limited to the exchange of the Product or return of the purchase price.
