Girodisc Rear 2 Piece Rotors for Lamborghini Murcielago 2002-2010, Lightweight Design

If you're looking to give your Lamborghini Murcielago a serious upgrade, the Girodisc rotors are a game changer. These aren't just any rotors; they're a direct swap for the factory discs, meaning no fussing around with modifications. Just bolt them on, and you're good to go. They'll work seamlessly with your OE calipers, which is a huge plus if you want to keep that factory bias intact and maintain your ABS efficiency.

One of the standout features of the Girodisc rotors is their lightweight design. Weighing in at about 18.2 lbs compared to the stock units at 22 lbs, you're shedding some serious weight here. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight translates to quicker acceleration and a more responsive suspension. Trust me, you can feel the difference when you're out on the road or track.

Now, let’s talk about the materials. The central hat section of these rotors is crafted from top-notch U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. The disc itself is made from Girodisc's proprietary cast iron, which is poured and machined right here in the USA. They’ve even incorporated a curved vane design, which is a neat trick borrowed from racing. This design acts like a centrifugal pump, pushing cooling air through the disc to keep things nice and cool during intense driving sessions.

The floating mount system is another highlight. It uses 8 or 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, all made to Girodisc's specifications and cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. These pins handle the load from braking while allowing some axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Plus, they’ve got anti-noise spring washers to keep things quiet when the rotors are cold. This means no annoying rattles, and the rotors can self-center between the pads as they heat up.

Once you’ve got the Girodisc system installed, replacing the cast iron rotor down the line is a breeze. Just swap it out when needed, and you’re back in business.

These rotors are sold in pairs and are designed specifically for the Lamborghini Murcielago from 2002 to 2010, particularly the A2-097 model with 8/4 pot calipers. If you’re serious about performance and want to make your ride even better, these rotors are definitely worth considering.
